Getting Started
When can I start?
JDFDL courses begin twice monthly during the school year.
Courses begin the second Wednesday of each month. We recommend you register at least two weeks before the scheduled start.
How do I get my books?
Textbooks are generally not provided until after you complete the first unit.
All textbook references are available online as a pdf file, if needed for the first unit.
After completing the first unit, textbooks are assigned to you. If you need the materials mailed to you, please tell us this when you register.
How do I get started?
All students registering for one or more academic courses will be registered in WestShore Centre's Learning Strategies course. You will be provided a date and time when you register for an orientation session. You must attend this orientation and start your Learning Strategies course which leads towards your academic course. Your login ID, password will be provided when you start your Learning Strategies course. Please allow one to two hours for the orientation session to begin your Learning Strategies course.
This orientation session is mandatory for enrolling in Westshore Centre's online courses and programs.
During the orientation session, you will be shown

and how to send a mail to message your online teacher.
The Learning Strategies course asks you to delvelop a schedule to complete your assignments, prepare for quizzes and learn how to be successful in an
